This is fixed in revision rev#67213 except for points 1) and 3) for now.
Point 3) is not a bug ... but a first step for future viewers, indeed ... if we add an "XML" string viewer .. you will see

   String Display
     String XML Display
 Object Browse

Point 1) should be fixed soon.
