So if it is of value we could add your command as a predefined one in 5.7 or future releases. I'm using the H2Viewer tool rather than Micorosoft's dexplore.exe merely because dexplore doesn't have a command line option to specify an index search. It's no big deal. I know that this got broken because of your improvements to the metadata cache, but I had hoped that you would be able to put a sensible value into $file_name for this special case. At this late stage, I agree you should leave things as they are. My ".NET Help" external command was merely a workaround for the lack of the F1 functionality available in most Windows programs. What I'd like to see in 5.7 is the F1 functionality that I have in Visual Studio and Delphi. I place the editor cursor on the name of a class or feature, press F1, and within a second or so I'm reading the appropriate help entry. That's what I really want :-) - Peter -----Original Message----- From: ISE Customer Support [mailto:bugs@support.eiffel.com] Sent: Thursday, 21 July 2005 08:20 To: pgummer@decisions-made-easy.com.au Subject: EiffelStudio/5153: External Command $file_name no longer works for .NET classes imported from metadata Dear Peter, What is your external command?
