On directly editing the .ecf file, it appears that <external_include location="...."/> does not provide for environment expansion.

The attached eiffel_accounts-OK.ecf compiles OK, the eiffel_accounts-FAIL.ecf does not, with GIT_EIFFEL=/data/git/eiffel
