Here are more details.

Put the attached .ecf file in its own directory, with no other files 
present in that directory.
Delete ~/.es directory.
Change to directory containing only the .ecf file.
Start estudio.
Click on Add Project and add the .ecf file.
Change action to Open and click the Open button.
Click on Compile button.
Immediately select the Project menu and move down to the Cancel item and
   select it, making sure that degree 6 has started but not finished.
Click Compile button.
Estudio crashes (every time for me).
