Synopsis: [RJ] Disable assertion checking button and threads

Description
If I disable assertion checking and then create many new threads, assertion checking is still off in the first thread but in the new threads it is still on - but the button says that it is off.  Obviously, I don't want them on and I certainly don't want to visit each thread one by one and turn it off.
