Synopsis: "Navigate to next error" button stops navigating

Description
After a several rounds of debug/edit cycles, the buttons for navigating among compiler errors and warnings stop doing anything. The text displayed in the editor panel remains stationary.

Highlighting of the error does move around, but that's not too helpful.
