Synopsis: "Could not generate precompile" but no explanation as to why

Description
I was compiling a new project from scratch with a precompile for a new library. The precompile had proceeded to degree 5 when I went on to do other things. When I got back, there was a little dialog that said "Could not generate precompile".

However there's no indication as to what caused this error. The precompile dialog is gone. The text it contained is gone.

First, why can't the precompile output go to the same panels as the output of a regular compilation? Then it would at least be visible if it broke.

Second, if the first can't be achieved, could EiffelStudio at least provide an indication as to how to fix the problem (ie instructions for bulding the precompile at the command line, at least)
